The Great Test

Every movement eventually encounters a moment that defines it.

A moment when optimism is replaced by uncertainty.

When conviction is challenged.

When participants are forced to decide whether they truly believe in the future they have been building.

For the VOW Ecosystem, that moment arrived in August 2024.

Until that point, the story of the ecosystem had largely been one of expansion.

The community was growing.

Infrastructure was being developed.

Liquidity was increasing.

New participants were arriving.

The vision appeared to be gaining momentum.

Like many emerging ecosystems, there was a growing sense that the future would simply be an extension of the past.

Growth would continue.

Adoption would continue.

Development would continue.

Few people anticipated how quickly circumstances could change.
